makeITfair is a European project on consumer electronics to inform young consumers about human rights, as well as social and environmental problems in the supply chain. In 2007 makeITfair depicted the way raw materials for these products are mined. The electronics industry uses about 45 percent of world tin and 25 percent of cobalt. MakeITfair calls on electronics companies to take responsibility for their supply chain from mines to manufacture.
